Pray in Public Notes

  1. prayer doesn't have to be made public.
  2. Prayer is not needed to make decisions in meetings.
  3. having someone pray before a public meeting can make people of opposing religions feel unwanted or our out of place.
  4. Having one person from every religion before a meeting would take too much time.
  5. Why can't the person who wants to pray do it on their own time while everyone else takes care of their business?

Public Prayer Debate questions- sorry so late! :)

1. Why can't people pray on the own? Like if someone at lunch wanted to pray, why cant they just pray to themselves? Those are called unspoken prayers right?

2. Isn't it in the constitution that religion and state should be kept separate? That should be taken into consideration.

Why did the newspaper think so little of the speech?
They thought that the speech was just silly and they hoped they would be forgotten.

BR 11/13/12

1. do you agree or disagree with the decision?
I agree with this decision because if the  whale killed someone maybe people shouldn't be so close.

 2.  Do you think it is a violation for Sea World?  Or is it the right if the trainer to decide?
I don't think this is a violation, the whale did kill its trainer. It is the trainers right and their choice to put themselves in danger as their job.

BR-11/12/13

if in were a hunter and I fell 16 feet, shattering my spine, and in a coma, It would probably be a very difficult decision to make. He would never be able to hold his baby or give hug. I truly respect this mans' decision.

BR- 11/6/13

1. I think this will be a good idea if they would just keep allowing the employees leave at 4:00p.m to attend their dinners at home. If they continue doing this then shoppers shouldn't have a problem with the store hours.

2. I don't think the U.S would go as far as putting people in jail just for wearing a pin. We as Americans have the right to self expression, which includes pins we want to wear. It would be unjustified if someone went to jail for being themselves.

1.  Was this a justifiable shooting?
I don't think it was a justifiable shooting because 1. it wasn't the shooters house in which the teen was toilet-papering, it was the neighbors. 2. you shouldn't shoot people to begin with,

 2.  What does this type of action say about society?
This action says that our society take action before the they think or are informed with the truth as to what was happening.
