This article is about a protest that took place on the World War two Memorial. Protesters pushed through barriers to protest the the closing of the memorial due tot eh government shutdown. The protesters chanted "Tear down these walls" and they sang patriotic songs. Republican Sen. Mike Lee of Utah. Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas, and Alaska governor Sarah Palin were among those who gathered Sunday morning.
